AI writing: compare access before quality

A plan with no AI allowance is not an AI-writing alternative just because the product sells AI on another tier. AuthoredUp's pricing calls Coauthor closed beta, while its July 21 release news describes first-come trial and paid access. Check current availability before starting a trial.

Once you have access, use the same writing samples, factual brief and target reader. Count invented facts, off-voice wording and changes required before publication. Save both drafts before revising either. Do not compare a heavily edited favorite with a first attempt from the other tool.

Editing and previews

An editor should make a readable draft easier to publish. Test it with the kinds of posts you actually write: short observations, longer explanations, links and document captions. Check a narrow mobile view, not only desktop.
